Two of the twelve Jyotirlingas within a short drive of each other, done unhurried. Mahakaleshwar at Ujjain with the Bhasma Aarti at dawn and the Shipra aarti at dusk, Omkareshwar on its island in the Narmada, and Ahilya Bai's Maheshwar ghats to end on — all worked around Indore.

    Indore Arrival

    • Pick up from Indore station/airport and transfer to hotel (early check-in subject to availability)
    • Check-in and rest in leisure
    • Late afternoon proceed to visit Rajwada Palace, Lal Bagh Palace and Kanch Mandir
    • Evening at Sarafa Bazaar night food street

    Ujjain - Mahakaleshwar

    • Early morning departure for Ujjain for the Bhasma Aarti (pre-booking required)
    • Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga darshan and Mahakal Lok corridor

    • Proceed to visit Kal Bhairav, Harsiddhi Temple and Mangalnath Temple
    • Evening Shipra aarti at Ram Ghat

    Ujjain - Omkareshwar

    • Breakfast and check out from Hotel
    • Visit Sandipani Ashram and Chintaman Ganesh on the way out
    • Proceed to Omkareshwar (approx. 4 hours)
    • Check-in at Omkareshwar hotel
    • Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga darshan and Mamleshwar Temple
    • Narmada boat ride and evening aarti at the ghat

    Omkareshwar - Maheshwar - Indore

    • Visit Ahilya Fort, the Narmada ghats and the Maheshwari weaving workshop
    • Halt at Sahastradhara on the Narmada (if time permits)

  • The Bhasma Aarti needs booking in advance through the Mahakaleshwar temple committee and is subject to their allotment.
  • Darshan queues run long on Mondays, Shivratri and during Shravan; the day's sightseeing may be shortened accordingly.
