Two thousand years of Madhya Pradesh in one line: the rock shelters at Bhimbetka, the Buddhist stupa at Sanchi, the Chandela temples at Khajuraho and the Bundela palaces at Orchha. A heritage circuit at a moderate pace, starting at Bhopal and ending at Jhansi, so the trip never doubles back on itself.

- Panna National Park stays closed from 1 July to 30 September; the safari add-on is not available on those dates.
- The trip ends at Jhansi station, which is the railhead for Orchha — return tickets should be booked from Jhansi, not Bhopal.
